Christmas with the Whole FAM DAMILY!

Chritstmas this year was so amazing!!! We got to see each of our families and spend christmas eve and day at my family cabin in Duck Creek!!

We were spoiled rotten as usual and we had so much fun!! Thanks to everyone who made it so special for us. Here are a few pictures of our spectacular time!!!

We had our annual Christmas Party at Grandma Jaines house. We sure missed Uncle Cary (he wasnt feeling well). Our pass around game got a little crazy.. which it usually does but we usually have Uncle Cary to maintain the rules and regulations!! All in all it turned out ok and we enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone.

Santa surprised everyone at Grandmas house and the kiddos were SO excited. Kai LOVES Santa and she told him she was ready for him to bring her presents! She has been such a good girl all year and was thankful that Santa sent her Cozy.. (we will introduce you to Cozy shortly)

Even the adults had fun taking pictures with Santa. Heres all the girlies of the family.

My cute parents!!! What would I do without them!!! LOVE YOU GUYS

After grandma Jaines party we all went up to the cabin to spend the night!!! We were having so much fun when we spotted a letter from Cozy, Kais elf on a shelf. The letter told Kai that she could touch Cozy for a short amount of time before Cozy flew away to the North Pole. She reassured Kai that she will be back next year to spend some time with her. Lets just say there was a dry eye in the entire cabin. I was sobbing. It was the most precious thing i had ever seen. Kai was so excited when she got to touch Cozy. She loved on her, kissed her, hugged her, and just starred at her like she was the most beautiful thing in the world. Which i believe she is. I think it is so neat to have something that helps children remember how important and special the holiday is. Kai's eyes were shinning and I couldnt help but let the emotions out.. Here is Kai and Cozy on Christmas eve...

Now arent those the cutest pictures ever? I was so happy that I was able to capture this moment. Its times like these i will never forget. And having pictures to remind us is important!! We LOVE YOU COZY and cant wait to see you again next year!!

After we all dried our tears we had some dinner and went to bed!! Kai, Austy and I got to open our christmas eve jammies!!! We were so excited!!

Aust must have not gotten the memo.. His face is delightful!!
Kai got jammies from GIGI and she LOVED them!! They were minnie (her fav) and Daisy

Christmas morning went SO FAST!!! We watched Kai open her gifts from Santa and then we all opened our own! As i mentioned we all go spoiled rotten!! My cute hubby gave me a Ruger 380 pistol!! I was SOOO excited! I bought him a saddle for his horse. We now both have our very own and can hopefully start riding more often!! Here are a few pictures from christmas morning! Thank you eveyrone for such a special time and for the gifts!!

We also played an intense game of JENGA! and we rocked it!! I believe my mom is the one who eventually knocked it down!!!

There is something about boys... and there eagerness to ride a snomobile in their undies in negative weather. Whatever floats their boat i guess...  hahah

An UPDATE? For REAL?

I know, I know.. this is crazy. I havent posted in here since, well, last chirstmas. It's sad. But I have an early new years resolution... & that is to keep everyone up to date on our crazy life as much as possible! I was inspired to update this baby when my sister-in-law posted a picture of her starting her new blog. I thought to myself... if she can do it and keep up on it so can I. So instead of going to bed like a normal person would do at midnight, Im going to capture a few moments of our adventures this past year.

As most of you know, I was accepeted into a nursing school in South Jordan, Utah. Its an 18 month bachelors program as well as a mastery program. Everything you do (exams, projects, papers, group work, etc,) has to be done with a 90% or better. Otherwise.. your nursing days at Roseman University are over. No big deal right? This school has been AWESOME and STRESSFUl and FUN and CRAZY and HARD and i could go on and on... it has given me a few grey hairs but so far it has totally been worth it. I wanted to go in to a program like this so that I could get done faster and Austin and I could finally live a normal married life after my graduation. Speaking of graduation.. did I mention i graduate June 7th!!?? Thats right, I am almost done with Nursing School!! Hallelujiah!!! I hate to say im counting down the days... because I have truly met some of the most amazing people in the last year. But i am so excited to finally say I am done with school!! For now anyways! :) This place has really been great. It has had its pros and cons but I can honestly say I am impressed with how things are turning out. I have met some of the greatest friends that I hope I can remain close to forever. Seriously though.,.. when you spend more time with your classmates then you do your own husband your bound to make close bonds with everyone! I am one lucky girl and I cant thank these girls enough for all they do for me! I have had many friends growing up and yet I feel like these girls have been with me forever! We had no problem reaching the stage where we could share anything and everything with each other! Lets just say... being a nurse and being comfortable with each other always makes for a good converstaion.

Another thing I love about my classmates is were all so close and we do so much together! Our adventures are something I will never forget and I cant wait to look back on all the fun times we have had throughout the program. Yes, believe it or not, you can still have fun while in nursing school.. It just comes after studying!! :) This was given to us by our favorite professor.. It couldnt be more true!

Here are some pictures of just a few adventures of us busy nursing students. These have happened in the past year.. Thanks guys for making so many memories with me so far!!!

Nurses Rock... Just saying!

GOBBLE GOBBLE

Thanksgiving had finally approached. This is Austins FAVORITE holiday. We love it. In fact, we love it so much that we had 3 of them. Yes 3!!!

  • First, lunch with Maggie Margo and grandpa Herman
  • Aussie, of course, joined us as well.
    We had some yummy turkey...
  • Second, a quick stop to Danny and Carol's house, where we caught Ty cutting the bird.
  •
  • Thirdly, we went to grandma Jaine and grandpa Bob's house to "overstuff" our belly's yet again. Here is where we found Ry stealing some snacks before grandma gave the go ahead... cheater. I caught him "mouth" handed.
  • At least he confessed...
    Kai's cute bows
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!
